The Saint Paul Classic Bike Tour hits the road ~ and trails ~ on Sunday, September 13. As always it’s a music festival on wheels, touring the Capitol City’s finest parks and parkways with live music, tasty treats and waterfront views at every stop.

NEW FOR 2026

We’re heading west across the great divide. Pelham Boulevard is being rebuilt so we’ll detour into Minneapolis for the first time. A new trail, a new park and a short ride down East River Parkway awaits.

2026 Event Details

The 32nd annual Classic offers scenic routes, superb live music and tasty treats.
  • The Classic starts and ends at Como Lakeside Pavilion. We offer two check-in times (7:30am-8:30am and 8:30am-9:30am). All riders must be on route by 9:30 a.m. Enjoy live music inside the pavilion, plus there will be a bounty of refreshments and live music at every rest stop. Riders must finish and pick up their T-shirts by 1:30 p.m.
  • LIMITED EDITION — To help ensure rider safety and enjoyment we are limiting the Classic to 2,100 riders.
  • Riders will enjoy riding on Saint Paul’s newest state of the art paved trails, bicycle lanes and protected bikeways. No roads will be closed to automobile trafficBicyclists must follow the rules of the road.
  • The Grand Round route is a 31 or 34 miles (the 34 mile route includes a lap around Lake Phalen) and features three rest stops including the stylish Lilydale Pavilion overlooking Pickerel Lake, Phalen Picnic Pavilion on Lake Phalen and the Mississippi River Gorge Scenic Overlook.
  • The Short Route will be a 12.8-mile Lollipop Loop” east to Lake Phalen along Wheelock Parkway. Enjoy a loop around lovely Lake Phalen for a 15.8-mile tour. Riders return to Como on the Gateway State Trail and Wheelock Parkway.

To help keep trails safe and rest stop lines short we offer two check-in times (7:30am-8:30am and 8:30am-9:30am). Help us keep the Classic fun and safe for all by respecting your start times.

PARKING — We encourage bicycling and carpooling to the Classic. Please refer to the FAQ for details on parking.
