Come Celebrate the 16th annual Saint Paul Classic -- Minnesota's biggest bike tour -- on September 12, 2010.

NEW THIS YEAR!
The Classic is crossing the big river. Twice! Explore the West Side (no, not Minneapolis) and a hidden gem -- lush and lovely Lilydale Regional Park. You'll need to get going early to take advantage of this new loop. It features two big climbs, two exhilarating coasts across the Mississippi and a delightful new rest stop on spring-fed Pickerel Lake.

The Classic is Minnesota's biggest because it's so much more than just a bike ride. This rolling festival of fun features:

Traffic-free glee! Choose your route. There are five options from 15 to 39 miles. The entire course is bicycles only in the direction of travel except along Summit Avenue.

Live music at every rest stop
The Twin Cities best bands will entertain and inspire you. This year we look forward to new music by the Danish group Ballade, MacPhail Guitar Quartet, and Papa John Kolstad with the East Lake Street Hot Club. Returning from last year will be Seven Steps to Havana (with Cuban native Viviana Pintado on piano), the Roe Family Singers (a huge hit at Como Pavilion last year) and the ever popular Eddies atop Ramsey Hill.

We feel your hunger and we've got the goodies. Enjoy locally baked cookies, bagels, brownies and lemon bars. FruitShare will be serving up the freshest organic fruits -- peaches, plums, grapes and, as always, watermelon at the finish.

Good green fun.
We want to leave this ride cleaner than we found it. About 97% of the Classic's "waste" -- cardboard, cups, banana peels -- will be composted or recycled. Please do your part by bicycling or carpooling to the ride.

How do you register as a team?
To set up a team, click the Register Today Active.com button on this page. You will be transferred to the Active.com page.  Click the yellow create team button at the top of the Active.com page and create your team (group) name in Active.com.  Once the team name is created and entered in Active.com, all your members can individually register. They just hit the green Register Now button, choose the Team Registration button and hit continue, select a category, select waivers, hit the continue button, and select your team name from the drop down Select a Team option before they enter their name.
